The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites have started writing about PlayStation as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to attract subscribers with quality releases on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

The two games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. However, this batch of games are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — transforming them into excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
