A viral footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers. Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the event by event staff. Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though legal records showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action. Record of Event Invasions This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter. "Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior. "Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned. Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals. "The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further response on Instagram. A number of fans also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content. Reaction and Event Details In videos circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff. Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted. Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the actors of Wicked Many of supporters had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began. The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two very different sorceresses. The show itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses. They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum. The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, earning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
